BENEFITS OF LATE SLEEP

You might wonder if there is any benefit of late sleep…yes, there are few benefits. I wouldn’t appreciate it but also wouldn’t go against it…. if situation permits you for late sleep then there is no need to worry about it. The following reasons are scientifically proved to be beneficial for late sleep.

1. High Intelligence

Have the problem of late sleep? You might be intelligent. A study by Satoshi Kanazawa and a study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences have both arrived at a conclusion that more intelligent children are more likely to go to bed late and wake up late on both weekdays and weekends. Late sleep won’t make you smart if you don’t use time wisely.

2. Increased Power

The University of Alberta tested the leg strength of nine early morning people and nine people who have late sleep and compared the results from which it became clear that people who have late sleep are said to have better leg strength than the early rising people. The Co Author of the study told CNN that this may be because of the increased use of motor cortex and spinal cord excitability by people who have late sleep.

3. Great Innovation

Authors like Marina Giampietro, have hypothesized that people who have a late sleep might be more creative because staying up late “may encourage the development of a non-conventional spirit and of the ability to find alternative and original solutions.

4. Increased Concentration

Many studies have proved that people who have late sleep are likely to be more concentrated than the people rising up early. The study by University of Liege in Belgium by monitoring 15 people who have late sleep and 16 early rising people concluded that the late sleepers had more of brain concentration when compared to the morning risers.

5. Risk Taker

<!– –>

According to the study of University of Chicago people who have late sleep are tend to be bigger risk takers than others. When it comes to a big decision making and risk taking the late sleepers have the high chance of taking the risky decisions which may be positive or negative.

Frankly speaking, being a morning person is way too good and advisable but even though you are a person who has late sleep there is no need to get worried about it, as regular sleep is enough to be healthy. When it becomes irregular then starts the problems for life. So always have a regular sleep ranging from 7 to 9 hours per day to stay healthy and fit.
