Air pollution is the man made cause that effects in the releasing of harmful elements to the air. Following are the impacts and importance of air pollution.
Impacts in plants.
Contaminated air from the industries disturbs the vegetation. Leaf veins are in charge to transport water, minerals and food to whole parts of the plant, Leaf tissue is enclosed with epidermis coating on top and bottom, in-between photosynthetic cells are located. Stomata is the minor openings under the leaf of all plant, which helps for the interchange of gases and water. This opening has door like operative Grad cells. This opening can be jammed by the pollutant present in the air. Which affects the transportation system of plants this pollution also upsets the chlorophyll pigment and cause color variation in the leaves and sheds quickly. This impact leads to loss of infected plant.
Impacts in humans.
Air contamination affects the human breathing system, causes skin illness and other severe health issues. Human respiration system intake oxygen for performance of the metabolic function of the body and discharges carbon dioxide as the metabolic waste these interchange of gases takes place in the lung this method is known as respiration. we usually do breathe 15 to 18 times per minute at relaxation and inhale 0.5 liters of air per breath, there are number of tiny sacs which enlarges during interchange. If we inhale the contaminated air the pollutants present the atmospheric air moves in into the lungs along with the oxygen and settles in the tiny sacs this will upset the respiratory process, such impact will form severe health issues such as asthma, lungs infection and also sources for lung cancer.
In addition to this, it affects our skin and causes skin infection like rashes. In India more than one lakhs people have been infected by methylisocyanite gas and 1000 of cattle have deceased on the spots. Discharging of toxic gases into the air in the laboratory will cause immediate death, who is working on it. Air contamination also causes acid rain impact, which is harmful to our surroundings.
Impacts on cracking
It mentions to the process of chemical breaking and bursting of crackers these can discharge the harmful material into air by chemical explosion.
• People should be alert and cultured about the impacts of air pollution.
• Government must take right action against the industries which releases pollutants into the atmosphere.
• Plant new trees to clean the atmospheric air, use ecological fuels for fireing.
• keep repairing your vehicle periodically to emit less quantity of smoke.
burning of trees, coal, fuel, materialization of bio-waste etc., can emit huge amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than the normal level thus rises the level of carbon dioxide in atmosphere.
Even though Government had taken so many steps to control air, contamination people should give their support to preserve our environment, this can be achieved by the people who assemble the information about the air pollution.
