LGBTQ

LGBTQ is the term we usually listen often but we don’t know the meaning of it or what this term actually stands for. LGBTQ stands for:

L = Lesbian
G = Gay
B = Bisexual
T = Transgender
Q = Queer or Questioning

LGBTQ means a community which is formed by the persons who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender. It is more often used as a  community, because it is a friendly way to say it. As some are not aware of this community as that they even exist, so to make people aware of them many  unions have been formed.  As people who are either gay, bisexual, lesbian or transgender should be accepted with open arms and should be treated equally. Many countries have formed a union to support such communities and the government of many countries have even made it legal to marry the same sex.

The term Queer means the persons who are either gay, bisexual, lesbian or transgender who know about their sexuality, but there are some who don’t know about it and that is okay. There are still some people who do not accept this community and they even do not respect them. People in foreign countries have accepted them with open arms and not only that they even support them. But then talking of our country the country which has varied culture has failed to accept them and the reason of non acceptance is  lack of awareness among people, as because of that people who are gay are not able to accept it in public.

There have been establishment of many groups who support LGBTQ in India and who helps the people to get knowledge about them. But still there are many who are not ready to accept them and who even do not want them in their society. This is the ideology we need to change and to bring a change we should start, by getting change in the mindset of people.

 There is need to change and there is need to accept the fact they are humans and they should be treated equal and should be given respect because they have a right to it. We should stop despising them and should accept them because long time that they are treated like this, and they to are humans and they even have feelings which should not be hurted because of their sexuality. As still there are many who do not want to accept their sexuality because of their families who don’t accept them and who do not support them. Still many are burdened to marry according to their family wishes and which ends their marriage badly. So high time people speak about it and let them know we are with them, because that is the support they are looking for.

They also have a flag which depict the freedom, equality and wisdom they want, which is only possible if we start treating them equal. We should hold that flag high and let them know that we are with them and we are proud of having them.
