Smartphone and social media kill your motivation

There are more than 7.5 billion people on earth and more than 5 billion people use Smartphone in their daily life. It is expected that there would be 6.2 billion Smartphone users by 2020. Smartphone has made our life easy. A survey has been conducted and it was found that 80% of the time spent on Smartphone is to surf social media websites and the remaining time on some other features. An average human being spends 2 hours a day on social media. On social media websites, one can easily get followers, likes, and comments. Due to this excessive use, the level of dopamine in our brain increases and that’s why you check your social media account regularly. Due to the sudden increase in the level of dopamine in your brain without any hard-work, the white matter starts decreasing. White matter is directly related to concentration and decision-making. In a research, it was found that 89% of the Smartphone users suffer from phantom vibration syndrome (it is a disease in which a person has a myth that his/her phone is vibrating). When one uses Smartphone in the bed the light coming from the phone screen release photons which stop the making of melatonin in your brain. Melatonin is responsible for sleep and one’s sleep cycle get disturbed and one feels tired when he or she wakes up in the morning. This is how Smartphone makes your life muddled. So if one wants to live a productive and happy life then use smartphone very sparingly and do not use a smartphone immediately before sleeping.
